The age range in Pre-School varies from 2 years 9 months to 5 years, and we provide places for up to 16 children.

The Pre-school room includes a role play corner, a book corner, tables for a variety of activities, a mark making station and loose parts station. They will have opportunites through out the day to access a range of messy play, creative, construction, mathematic, literacy and mark making activities.

The Pre-school room focuses on helping the children to be independent individiuals, and helping them towards that important transition to Primary School.

The Pre-school room has an 'Interest of the Term' which they focus on each term. The topics which we have included in the past are; People who help us, Animals, Under the Sea, Seasons, Festivals, Dinosaurs and Minibeasts. The staff in the Pre-School room will decide on a certain topic which the children are currently interested in, or a topic which they feel the children would benefit from learning about. During the term the room completes lots of different activities related to that interest to help the children to learn and develop through their interest of the term activitites.
