Professional and Dedicated Team

Daisy Chain prides itself in having a team of caring, skilled and highly qualified staff, employing several childcare practitioners trained or working towards a level 4 In Early Childhood Studies or above. In addition, the majority of staff are trained in paediatric first aid. Practitioners are encouraged to attend specialised training courses to further their personal development and to enhance the nursery provision.

 

All staff are CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.

 

Gemma Gavaghan 

Nursery Manager

 

Gemma has been managing Daisy Chain since 2007.  She joined us from another setting in Peterborough, where she was promoted first to Room Leader and then Deputy Manager.

 

Gemma has a degree in Early Childhood Studies (level 6), Level 2 and 3 in Pre-school practice, Foundation Certificate in Management, First Aid, Child Protection and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator).
